TESTIMONIALS

From a Service User 2019

Victoria is a good listener and she always tries to help in any way she can, emotionally or physically. She doesn't deprive me of anything and you can have a laugh with her. She's very good with people with vision impairments and autism. She's good with the hard of hearing and totally deaf people. She's good at explaining things and getting people to listen. Also she's good at guiding blind people. Also if you ask a favour, you can always be sure Victoria wouldn't let you down unless something cropped up. Victoria likes to crack jokes and pretends to put her foot down but it's all part of the fun. when you get to know her she's brilliant company and life is a party.

From a Service Users Daughter 2023

Victoria and Laura from New Wings have been an absolute blessing to us recently. Their unwavering support, patience, and down-to-earth approach in caring for my elderly mum, who battles dementia, have been invaluable. Their flexibility and genuine kindness have made a huge difference to us while we're living away. They've not just cared for her needs but brought a sense of comfort and reassurance to our family. Their dedication and compassion shine through in every interaction, making an incredibly challenging situation more manageable. We're forever grateful for their exceptional care and the peace of mind they've provided us

From a past Service User's Daughter 2022

I wanted to show my great appreciation for the help, care and service that my mum received from Victoria, owner of ‘New Wings’, and all her team. My mum needed help in the home and with personal care and Victoria came to see us. We were always very impressed with the professionalism linked with friendliness and care she gave. She does not miss a trick! Victoria, Mel and later Amanda could get mum to have a bath, wash her hair, brush her teeth etc regularly. We were beginning to struggle to do so, but all that just happened with no stress when the girls arrived on the scene. She solved problems for us quicker than I would have imagined possible. My mum’s lifestyle was maintained and we (my sister-in-law and I, Moira’s daughter, who were the main carers) were given tremendous support and assistance in every way. If we had a problem, she sorted it and she was always there for us to discuss our thoughts and ask questions. Mum’s needs were ever-changing and she advised us on involving medical professionals and other agencies to help us get the house, and Mum’s medical needs, quickly and efficiently sorted. All of which gave us peace of mind. More than this, which is only what we expected from a company such as this, Victoria enriched mum’s life in many ways. She looked through photograph albums to jog her memory and keep her thinking. She lent dvds and music cds from her own collection and she became Mums friend. Time spent was always endless. Our aim was always to grant mum’s wish, to live at home for as long as possible. She loved her bungalow and garden. The rest of the team that visited my mum were all great too. Those ladies need praise and recognition along with Victoria. She has a lovely team, each one of whom is efficient, caring, kind and friendly but at all times preserving dignity. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
